The tour of the Meteora sunset begins with a visit, either to the Holy Monastery of Agios Stefanos or the Roussanos Monastery, where you will be able to visit one of the two and internal [it depends on the working hours]. Morning Meteora Tour
The guided tour in the stone forest of Meteora begins with a visit to the Holy Monastery of Agios Stefanos and the Holy Monastery of Agios Nikolaos of Anapaus, with an inside visit to only one of the two monasteries. Afterwards, stops will be made at imposing spots of Meteora, to enjoy and immortalize the view. Then follows a visit to the Byzantine Church of Panagia, located in the old town of Kalambaka. Our tour ends with a walk in the city center.
Lunch tour at Meteora
Our excursion begins with your pickup from any point in Kalambaka. From there, we will head to the Sacred Meteor Rocks. During your ascent, you will have the opportunity to see the hermitages of Badova. Then, we will visit internally, 2 of the 6 monasteries, the Holy Monastery of Agios Stefanos and the Holy Monastery of Agios Nikolaos of Rest. However, you will be able to see all the monasteries from the outside. Then, stops will be made at places of Meteora with a view, for photos. Our excursion ends with your arrival at the point where you will tell us.

Guided tour of Meteora
The tour begins with a first stop, where from a distance, we will see the cave where the old Monastery of Agios Georgios of Mantila was located. There you will see handkerchiefs hung by the locals, a custom that takes place every year on the feast of the Saint. Afterwards, there is an internal visit to the Holy Monastery of Rousanos, the Holy Monastery of Megalo Meteoros and the Holy Monastery of Varlaam. Finally, we will head to impressive spots in Meteora, where you will have time to enjoy and capture the view.

Hiking in the hidden churches of Meteora
The hike to the hidden churches of Meteora starts from the picturesque village of Kastraki in the Municipality of Meteora and continues with the climb to the top of the rock of the Holy Spirit. From there, we will head to the cave of the monks in which there is a chapel dedicated to the Holy Spirit. In this cave, the first hermit monks lived, many centuries ago. Finally, there is a quick visit to the chapel of Saint George of Mantila, where you will see a unique custom. Hiking requires good physical condition.

Hiking in Meteora
Our hike begins by crossing the picturesque village of the Municipality of Meteora, Kastraki, and reaching the ruins of the Pantokratoros Holy Monastery, on the northern side of the Doupiani rock. Then, having crossed a green forest full of plants, we will be driven to the renovated Ypapanti alone and to the abandoned monastery of Agios Dimitrios. If you wish, you can visit the Ypapanti Monastery inside (it is only open Monday-Friday). Then we reach the top of the Sacred Rocks of Meteora and continue with the internal visit to a monastery, either the Holy Monastery of Varlaam or the Great Meteoron. Little by little, the tour comes to an end, since we start to descend towards Kastraki, where we will see the cave where the old Holy Monastery of Agios Georgios of Mantila was located. There, we will witness a rare custom. And just like that we are at the starting point, from where a minibus will pick us up for the return to the meeting point.

One-day excursion from Athens to Meteora by train
Your train from Athens leaves at 7:52am. from the Athens railway station. It is mandatory to be at the station 30-40 minutes before to follow the boarding process. Once your journey begins, indulge yourself in the unique beauties of nature and lush green landscapes. Your arrival in the city of Kalambaka will be around 12:05pm. to the city's train station, where we will be waiting to pick you up and start our tour. Initially, the ascent will take place in the stone forest of Meteora. You will have the opportunity to see all six liturgical monasteries, but an internal visit will only be made to 2 of them, the Holy Monastery of Agios Stefanos and the Holy Monastery of Agios Nikolaos of Anapavsa. Our excursion ends with a stop at places of Meteora with a view for photos and with a visit to the hermitages of Badova. At 4:30 p.m. approx we will return you to the city center where you will have plenty of time to have lunch or explore the city located at the foot of Meteora. The train from Kalambaka to Athens departs at 17:20 pm. It's a good idea to be at the train station 30 to 20 minutes before to go through the boarding process.
